How To DIY Heat Pressing Pillows

share on social:

Today I want to show y’all how to DIY Heat Pressing Pillows.  It is a fraction of the price to make the pressing pillows yourself and is also a fun DIY project.

But First,

You might be wondering why would I ever need to use a pressing pillow?… And here are 3 quick reasons why:

1.  They distribute the heat from the heat press evenly throughout the vinyl as well as the item being pressed.

2.  They raise the pressing area making things like onesies and bags a million times easier to press. The snaps and seams sink into the pillow so the press can actually reach the vinyl.

3.  They seal the HTV (heat transfer vinyl). Without a pillow, the HTV doesn’t get an even seal on the item which increases the probability of peeling. When applied correctly, vinyl should last the life of the shirt!!

And there you have it!! 3 easy straight forward reasons as to why you need to start using pressing pillows. Onesies, bags, sleeves, you name it, they all need a pillow!!
