Elf SVG: Two Free Designs Perfect For Holiday Shirts
Does your family have an elf that comes and visits each season? These Elf SVG files are perfect designs to make shirts for the holiday season.
I think both of the designs would be cute with the words in one solid color and the hat and the legs in some cute accent colors. If you are brave you could even use some pattern vinyl to really spice up the project.
We have two Elf SVG designs available for download at the very bottom of this post. They can each be used for both personal and commercial use up to 200 uses.
Make sure once you have finished your project, be sure to share a picture of your creation with us! We want to see your elf svg files in action!
That is the best part about providing SVG files for the community.
Please note that all the images used to display the gingerbread svg designs in this post are mock up images.
Santa’s Elf Squad
I thought this design would be so cute for teachers or day care workers. I can see an entire team wearing matching ones! Really though it would look cute on anyone.
Today’s designs tend to lend themselves more toward shirt SVG files so I hope you are able to make something cute out of them!
These naughty list designs and even these funny winter files will be right up your alley if you are looking for more funny designs to make you chuckle.
The Elf Made Me Do It
I can totally see my boys wearing this design. It would 100% be something they would say. Wouldn’t it be cute on a Christmas card?
The little elf hat would be cute in a pattern HTV or depending on who you are making it for, glitter!
This design would also be cute on a shadow box or a sign. If you decide to go the adhesive vinyl route carefully select the transfer tape. It makes a huge difference!

Elf SVG File Helpful Hints
Both of these designs have a few small pieces in the legs and the hat. Make sure to do a test cut so you don’t waste vinyl.
Check out my favorite tips for HTV and your project will go off without a hitch. While both of the elf SVG cutting files will work on either a Silhouette or Cricut cutting machine, it might take a couple tries to make sure you have the setting exactly right.

Elf Ideas!
These two Elf SVG files are so cute and perfect for the holiday season. One thing that can feel a little overwhelming though, and not so cute, during the holiday season is the little Elf himself. Does your family have one?
You have to move him each and every night and even set him up doing all kinds of fun stuff around the house. Here are a few ideas of some simple easy things he can do without breaking the bank, and you not loosing your sanity.
- Draw funny faces on the bananas and oranges
- Have him reading a book with other stuffed animals
- Put him in the fridge with a little piece of fabric (feels like home)
- Stack three rolls of toilet paper and draw a snowman face with him inside the rolls
- Get out the ribbon and stick a bow on his head like he was wrapping
The most important thing is to have fun with him. Even if he isn’t doing some crazy activity just moving him around is fun. Set your own family traditions and then go to town making memories with your little ones. The season is about more than who can be the biggest or the fanciest. Have fun but don’t get stressed out about it.
The season really is about the most precious gift we have ever been given. You can also grab some nativity svg files as well as a free cross svg here on the blog to help remember the true meaning.
Then have some fun and bring the designs to life! It won’t be perfect (nothing ever is) but I can guarantee that you will learn something along the way.
Helpful hint… The material you use makes a huge difference. If you have cut the same piece of vinyl multiple times and it still isn’t working… try using a different brand or even material. When trying to figure out sizing I like to print my design on paper first to see if it will fit.
My favorite spot for vinyl is hands down Expressions Vinyl. I also love the convenience of shopping off Amazon so check out my Amazon favorites and tools here in my Amazon shop.

Download your Elf SVG Files Here:
Please note that all the Elf SVG files are all inside zipped folders. You will need to unzip the file folder first to access the SVG file inside.
File Type Reminder when working with the Elf SVG designs: Make sure you are uploading and using the SVG file if you want to ungroup, cut in different colors, and manipulate the elements. When starting out, deciphering the various file types can be confusing.
The description under file type inside the file folder might say html file or even internet explorer file (these are both the SVG). If you aren’t able to ungroup and manipulate the elements in the design you might be uploading the wrong file! Read more about when to use what file and the difference between SVG and PNG file types.
