Christmas Tree SVG: Free Designs to Deck the Halls this Holiday
It seems like the Christmas Tree is a universal symbol of the holiday season. With that being said, what is a better way to kick it off this year’s holiday season, than provide a Christmas Tree svg free for the Chaos Community?
This Christmas Tree free svg design (yup you heard that right… 100% free) comes in three different variations. And no, I don’t just mean file types, I mean actual variations of the Christmas Tree design itself. Let me explain…
When I am creating digital files there are three different directions I can go on each and every file.
- Full Color
When designing in full color, everything is filled in with various colors in the design itself. While this style is absolutely beautiful it can take a while to piece it together with vinyl.
With the silhouette style it is super quick to cut because it is all one element but, you also tend to loose some of the details.
Outlining is a fun effect because you could potentially add a color to the background, or leave it as an outline and use it as a coloring book design.
So today you get all three styles in one Christmas Tree file for you to pick and choose which one fits your needs best. You can scroll down to the bottom of the post to download your files.
Then, as a little bonus I have added in a second Christmas tree SVG with a saying as well. I absolutely love designing with fun words and phrases and so couldn’t resist giving one to y’all. It is my jam!
Please note that the images used in this post are mock up images.
Like I mentioned above, in this one design download you will be able to open it and have access to three different images of a Christmas Tree.
Colored Christmas Tree
The colored design pictured below, is broken up into sections for ease of use. It is made for you to use various shades of green… get creative here! You can use glitter, holographic, strip flock pro (the fuzzy stuff) and more to really bring that flat colored Christmas Tree to life! I can even see it being adorable on some holiday jammies or even personalized with a name going down one of the sides!
Silhouette Christmas Tree
When using the silhouette version of the tree just remember that is one element. So whatever color you decide to go with it will be all the same thing. This is a great item to use with paper as a holiday banner, an element to bring some fun into a simple saying, or even make small and put it on the pocket or sleeve of a shirt.
Using patterned vinyl on the solid silhouette Christmas Tree SVG would be the perfect way to add in some fun color and movement to your project. You could even cut a whole bunch of them really small and decorate the entire shirt with tiny trees!
Outline Christmas Tree
The outline Christmas Tree is the perfect element to use when you want to leave some room for the receiver to have some creativity. For that element of the file, you can add a name and make it a coloring book shirt or pillow. You could also add names and use the print and cut feature on your machine and create place cards (easy decoration for your holiday spread), coloring pages for the littles, or even labels for your holiday dishes so people know what food is in the line that they are adding to their plate.
Jesus Made Us Different But Loves Us All The Same
This design is bonus that I couldn’t resist but throw into your bundle of downloads at the bottom of the post.
Christmas Trees are such a perfect synonym of how not a single one of us are the same. Each one of us is totally unique and wonderful in our own way. We were designed like that on purpose for a purpose.
I thought this Christmas Tree SVG is a beautiful representation of how each and every one of us is unique and yet we all receive the same beautiful love from Jesus.
Sometimes I get swept up in the holidays (as I think we all do) and need that gentle reminder of the true reason of our season. This free cross SVG from the blog is also a beautiful reminder.
Once you have brought your design to life I would be honored to see it! Come show off your work inside our Facebook Community When you show off how you have brought these files to life, not only do you inspire others to create, but you also give yourself more momentums to move to the next project and continue creating instead of collecting.
Where To Begin
(this section includes affiliate links)
Sometimes I spend so much time online collecting ideas that it is hard for me to move into the actual creating stage of the project. Have you ever had that happen? That is 100% normal. Here are a few tips to help you break the block of being stuck in the collection of inspiration stage.
- Pick a specific project
- While we want to do all the things, narrow it down to ONE! Pick one design, one item you want to place your design on, and move forward from there.
- Pick a medium
- Decide what you want to cut your design out of. Pick if you will be working with HTV, Adhesive, or even a stencil.
- Get Started
- Don’t let fear or what if’s get in your way of actually making your item.
I hate to burst your bubble but your project will NOT be perfect. It can still be beautiful even if it isn’t perfect. Like I mentioned in the Christmas Tree SVG free above, differences don’t make us any less worthy or loveable.
I will share for ease of use, make sure to use high quality materials. If you are getting stuck or frustrated, the material you are using DOES make a difference. My favorite spot for vinyl is hands down Expressions Vinyl.
Also, to make it easy, you can find a collection of my tools and Amazon favorites in my Amazon shop.
Getting to know each of you and being a part of your personal journey is one of the main reasons why I show up. It fills my cup to learn about how YOU have moved beyond inspiration, become comfortable in creating, and developed your own gifts. Inside of our monthly membership, Club Chaos I get to really dive deep in the community. I much prefer to call it our crafty sisterhood. Each month we release brand new SVG files and project tutorials but it is more than that. Club Chaos is a place that crafters feel at home. Here is a peek into some of the designs from the Club:

Download your Christmas SVG Free Files Here:
Please note that all the Christmas SVG free files are all inside zipped folders. You will need to unzip the file folder first to access the SVG file inside.
Helpful tip: As you upload the design into your software to cut the design, first confirm that you are uploading the SVG file. It can be confusing at first which one that is. It might say html file or even internet explorer file as the file type. If you aren’t able to ungroup the design you might be uploading the wrong one! Read more about when to use what file and the difference between SVG and PNG file types.
Silhouette Studio basic edition users will need to use the DXF version of the file or upgrade your version on the Silhouette software.
Spread The Love
Also don’t forget about your crafty friends! Make sure to send them this way! The biggest compliment you can give to me and the Chaos brand is telling others about our content, designs, and posts.
You can use these designs for personal or commercial use up to 200 uses in your own home. (Sorry no screen prints or print on demand shops are allowed). Please remember though, the digital file itself isn’t to be shared or distributed outside of this blog post. Thanks for understanding!
Happy crafting and chaos!
