The fourth of July is a time to celebrate on the freedom that we have here in America. To help make my house a little more festive I transformed a wooden blank into an adorable firework door hanger. I have provided the firework SVG file as a free download in case you would like to do the same.

Supplies:
Fourth of July printed adhesive vinyl
White Paint
Firework flair to add as a bonus to the end to really make it pop
We ended up putting this sign together in three different part.
Step One:
I digitally created the firework SVG design and then cut the design with card stock to make sure it was sized appropriately. To make it a little easier for y’all I’m providing the Free Firework SVG below.
I had a very limited amount of vinyl and didn’t want to waste it and cut the wrong size. Using any sort of paper is a great way to confirm that none of the vinyl will go to waste. You can watch us practicing with card stock here.
Step Two:
I painted the background of the wooden blank. Check out us painting it live here:
Step Three:
Now comes the fun part. We used the free firework SVG and pieced everything together to create our finished sign. Check it out live here:
I can’t wait to get it hung up on my door and really get the patriotic spirit going.

Please note that the SVG will need to be re-sized depending on what size you door hanger you order. Mine was the 1/4 thick and 16 inch size.
