I am so excited about this free workshop series called Going Digital.
Why are some crafters able to create their own designs while others are still tied to their cutting software and stuck buying and scouring the interwebs for files?
Why do some seem to have an endless flow of ideas for these designs while others seem to get stuck with designer’s block?
And why are some people paralyzed inside Inkscape and Illustrator while others are thriving?
In this free workshop series Going Digital, I’ll share the answers to these questions so you too can begin to successfully create your own SVG files.
Watch video one in the series here:
The goal of this workshop is simple: to help you express your creativity digitally.
Today I’ll show you the first step by helping you brainstorm, so you can have an endless amount of creative inspiration.
And that will give you a greater opportunity to experience freedom when you sit down to actually create.
Next up, we’ll talk about how to pair fonts by following a simple process to help you have eye catching SVG files.
This was very helpful and I can’t wait for Video 2. Thank you
So glad you loved it!!
Thank you for this! My husband and I were just talking about this type of thing! I usually create my own files, but I have never shared or sold them before only because most are spin offs of other works, or customers will ask for “this exact sign”. (I hate when I am asked to do that since I put a lot of heart into my own work, I assume others do the same.)
So I am looking forward to this series to help sharpen my skill! I am a busy mom, working full time, taking my boys here and there for sports all year long. So my [far fetched and scary] goal is to get out of the 9-5 corporate world. I want to spend my days as a free spirit, painting, designing, creating, but also have a paycheck to coincide. Was this something you had to do? Adjust to a “new” way of life? It would be very hard for our family to drop to a single income, as that is current our biggest set back.
Thank you so much for putting together this series! I can’t wait for the next video!
You are so very welcome! It’s def an adjustment and we had to close the gap as well! You can totally do it! I’m so glad it is helpful!
Hello Michelle. I remember when I joined last year you had something similar this is class. I took the notes but never did anything with them. Reasons are many why I did nothing but this is not the place. I am a big note taker in every aspect of my life groceries, remember to do ____ when I get home, things to talk to someone about, to do lists etc. My mind is always going a mile a minute so writing down ideas should not be hard. My biggest problem is I can’t find the “thing” that people want to buy. I don’t want to make this a full time business but I want to have constant sales. 1 for the money and 2 for my sanity. (I posted a detailed question in the Facebook page a few days ago) Looking forward to the font lesson so I can get this business going. Thanks you
So excited for you!!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, this video is very helpful..
You are very welcome!
Thank you for doing this video. I’m so excited for video 2 on Wednesday. I can’t wait to learn more, I need all the help I can get.
I’m so glad it has been helpful for you!
