Two Nativity SVG Files:  The Heart of the Holiday Season

In my opinion there isn’t anything more humbling than thinking about the scene of the very first Christmas.  These nativity SVG designs are a simple reminder of that very moment.

A tiny baby, a brand new mom and dad, all in a stable with animals.  Thinking about how they must be feeling at that moment always leaves me in awe.

Every year as we go throughout the season, one of my favorite traditions that I’ve started with my kids, is a daily advent calendar.  Each night we read about a story in the Bible (this is the one we read from for the daily advent) that shares about to the events leading up to Jesus’s birthday.  I love how it helps us to re-center and take a moment each day to remember what the time is truly all about.

OK let’s dive into the nativity designs that I’ve made for y’all on this post.

These Nativity SVG files can be brought to life on shirts, signs, or even used with print and cut.  The biggest thing is to just make sure to actually use them… you don’t want the designs to get stuck in your downloads graveyard!

For Unto Us A Child Is Born Nativity

This design is inspired by the Bible verse Isaiah 9:6-7.  

I can already see the design coming to life with some beautiful colors of vinyl or even paint.  If you really wanted to get fancy you could even add some glitter.  It would be gorgeous on that star!

Make your own wood frame and then use HTV, adhesive, or paint to add the design.  It would be a beautiful holiday decoration for you to display year after year.

Best Day Ever

This design is simple and sums up Christmas Day completely.  

It would look great on a stocking, on jammies, or even a shirt for yourself or your littles!

Nativity Reminder

These nativity SVG files both work with a Silhouette or Cricut cutting machine.  

If you are using Silhouette Studio (the basic/free version) you will need to upload the DXF to cut instead of the SVG.  

Just a word of caution… the DXF file cuts super super slow.  This is an extremely old file type and If you can upgrade (one time cost) your version of Studio I highly highly recommend it!

In the meantime do a tiny offset of the DXF file and cut that line instead.  It will go so much faster and smoother.

Remember when working with the Nativity SVG files:  Double check that you are working with the SVG file inside your software.  It can be confusing at first which one that is.  It might say under file type html file or even internet explorer file as the file type.  If you aren’t able to ungroup and manipulate the elements in the design you are probably uploading the wrong one!
